Meet Our Team
All of our team members are trained and certified through the international organization EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association). The team consists of a Mental Health Professional (MHP), an Equine Specialist (ES) who has extensive horse experience and our horses, the most important members of our team. Our MHPs are all Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC).
Bill and Mary Langford founded A Stable Journey to provide a safe and private place for area counselors to work with clients using horses. We strive to provide the highest quality counseling using the unique benefits of horses to enrich our journey through life.

Bill Langford, EAGALA Certified Equine Specialist
Bill manages Cherokee Ridge Horse Farm in Carencro. The farm boards, breeds and raises horses. After 30 years in the oil and gas industry, he has found his “life’s calling” (see my testimonial) in helping people using horses. Bill is a graduate of the International Equine School (Ocala, Florida) and has over five years as an Equine Specialist (ES) in EAGALA work. He is working on his advanced certification and is an EAGALA Board Member.
Susan Provost, EAGALA Trained Equine Specialist
Susan is a paralegal in Lafayette and has been a dedicated horse owner for 18 years. She has spent many hours watching, riding and enjoying horses. She has learned much in those years, attending both EAGALA and horsemanship trainings, reading books and watching hours of training videos. Her knowledge of horses and interest in people makes her an insightful addition to the EAGALA team. Susan plans to become EAGALA certified and to pursue her Advanced Certification.
